Gran Velada puts at your disposal a wide catalog of mineral pigments so that you can give color to your handmade cosmetic products in a natural way. Our pigments are natural, extracted from minerals, and meet all requirements for use in cosmetics. They are ideal for making facial or eye makeup, lipsticks or nail lacquers, as well as all kinds of soaps, both oil and glycerin. In the latter case, it must be taken into account that they dull the soap, so when we want completely transparent soaps it is more interesting to use liquid dyes for glycerin soap. These dyes can also be purchased in our online store.

Our mineral pigments are mainly iron oxides, which provide red, black or yellow colorations; chromium oxides, which cause green colours; and ultramarine pigments, which give violet or blue. In all cases, these are natural mineral pigments in powder, which are sold in packages of different formats.

All of them are characterized by being insoluble in both water and fatty media, since they color by dispersion. They are high-quality pigments that do not migrate, do not oxidize and are not altered by light. That is why they are perfect for making soaps of various colors, since they do not expand and do not dye other colors. They have great strength and stability.

When using them, from Gran Velada we recommend breaking the particle before mixing them with the product we are going to dye. To do this, the amount of pigment indicated in a glass or ceramic mortar and a little oil or alcohol are poured and crushed. In this way we will achieve better final results.
