Buying Lanette N Emulsifying Wax

Lanette N wax is an emulsifying wax and self-emulsifying O/W base with an anionic character. It is capable of producing emulsions on its own without the need to incorporate any fatty substance or emulsifying agent.

This emulsifying wax is used to create creams, lotions, ointments, or balms, with the purpose of emulsifying the Lanette N wax in the mixture while stabilizing it to achieve a completely unified cream. The cream will be absorbed by the skin without leaving a greasy sensation.

How to Use Lanette N Wax

Melt Lanette N wax and the other components of the oily phase at 65-75ºC (maximum) in a double boiler, and separately heat the aqueous phase.

Remove both phases from the double boiler and slowly add the aqueous phase to the oily phase, stirring gently until it cools. When the temperature is below 30°C, add preservatives, essences, etc., and continue stirring until achieving the desired consistency at room temperature.

In general, Lanette N wax is used at 5-20%, depending on the desired consistency:

Liquid Emulsions: 1%

Fluid Emulsions: 3%

Soft Creams: 5%

Consistent Creams: 10-15%
