Description

Yellow mica is a very fine, pearly yellow powder with a slight golden tinge. It is used both to create pearlescent finishes in transparent products (glycerin soap, gels) and to add color to opaque formulations (saponified soaps, creams, candles).

Uses and dosage

Dosage: from 0.5% until the desired tone is achieved.
It is dispersed in oil/alcohol/glycerin before incorporating.
Useful in lip gloss, shampoos, antibacterial gel and candles.

DIY Tips and Sales

Include it in "make your own soap" kits with instructions in Spanish and shade samples. In Mexico, it works well in summer lines and trade show packs. Keep the container closed and avoid inhaling the powder.
